More Video of Paris

Wish Elisa were here.

You belong in the seat in front of me for dinner here in downtown Paris. Would have made dinner perfect.

Walking tour of Paris

Well this one is for Elisa. I took a VERY long walk through Paris to enjoy the sites, but mostly to go to the Louvre and Notre Dame Cathedral. I don't know how far it was, but it must have been like 3 miles each way. Then I hiked to the top of the south tower of Notre Dame. Finally, I ate dinner at a restaurant overlooking Notre Dame. Wish Elisa were there for that.

Here I am in front of the Louvre.

And Notre Dame.

On the walkway between the towers of Notre Dame.

Looking down to the river from the top of the south tower of Notre Dame.

The gargoyles...

The dome of the north tower of Notre Dame.

No explanation needed... You can almost imagine Quasimodo, from Victor Hugo's novel, swinging from the gargoyles up there.

The entrance to the Louvre

Me in the plaza front of the Louvre.

Through the Arc de Triumphe (the mini one) in front of the Louvre.

South wing of the Louvre.

Night in Paris

I took this video at the start of my cruise on the Seine river in Paris. It's night, so the iPhone video isn't quite as sharp, but it's still worth a look.

This one is a little better of the cruise taken from my friend and co-worker, Dale Cressman's Mino camera he loaned me.

And this one is of the Eiffel Tower at night. Words can't explain... see if you can catch the moon coming out from behind the tower at the end of the video.

And finally, from my iPhone again, the tower sparkling at night.

Night cruise on the river in Paris

OK. So the iPhone doesn't do so well in low light situations. Shoot me. It's all I had. But the city is still gorgeous. I decided to get away from the UNESCO archives for an evening (actually they closed on me, kicking me out for the weekend). All that paper digging was wearing on me. I booked a dinner on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower with a window looking over the city. Then I went on a night cruise on the Seine river. Great experience I'll never forget. Only wish Elisa could have been there to share this with me. Sorry for some of the poor quality on photos.
